Article 83. (Probation period) The probation period for parole in the case of fixed-term imprisonment is the term that has not been completed; the probation period for parole in the case of life imprisonment is 10 years. The probation period for parole in the case of offenders sentenced to the death penalty with a suspension of execution according to article 50 paragraph 2 of this law where after a sentence reduction to life imprisonment further reductions are not possible is fifteen years.


The probation period for parole is counted as commencing on the date of parole.
