Article 276 (Disrupting productive operations) Anyone who, for purposes of giving vent to spite or retaliating or out of other personal motives, destroys or damages machines or equipment, cruelly injures or slaughters farm animals or sabotages production and business operation by other means, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention or public surveillance; if the circumstances are serious, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years.

Whoever has the capacity to pay and does not pay or eludes the payment of workers’ remuneration by transferring property, going into hiding or other means and circumstances are odious shall be sentenced to not more than three years fixed-term imprisonment or criminal detention, and shall also – or shall only – be fined, Those who cause serious consequences shall be sentenced to not less than three years and not more than seven years fixed-term imprisonment, and shall also be fined.

Where a unit commits a crime in the preceding paragraphs, it shall be fined, and the persons who are directly in charge and the other persons who are directly responsible for the crime shall be punished according to provisions in the preceding paragraphs.

Whoever commits acts [described in the] preceding paragraphs, but his acts do not produce serious consequences, and pays workers’ remuneration before he is publicly prosecuted and also bears the responsibility to correspond a compensation according to the law can be exempted from criminal responsibility.
